Moody Beach Maternity Photos on Maui | Cindy and Eric — Maui Couples, Maternity and Family Photographer

I love to capture maternity photos on the beach, and this recent session was even more unique. We almost canceled it, as rain clouds loomed over us that morning. However, we decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad we did! The overcast weather created such a moody and ethereal atmosphere – and at some point, a rainbow showed up adding some extra magic to the photoshoot.

Cindy and Eric wanted to capture some nude photos, as well as bikini shots. Nude maternity sessions aren’t for everyone, but for those who are comfortable, they can be incredibly empowering and beautiful! For this session, we went to an uncrowded beach very early in the morning to have some privacy and experiment with different poses. Cindy brought neutral color bikini and a white shirt cover-up to give a variety of poses and allow for a few shots that feel slightly more covered.

The combination of the soft morning light and dramatic skies made for a set of photos that felt both peaceful and powerful. The rainbow was the perfect touch to remind us how quickly things can change! We ended up with a gallery filled with stunning, moody+happy vibe images.
