HI, I AM ALINA!

You can often find me running around with my camera at Maui’s north shore beaches but it wasn’t always that way. Born and raised in Russia, I studied BA in Tourism and Hospitality. After graduation my adventurous spirit brought me to Maui which I instantly fell in love with because of it’s beauty and simple lifestyle.

Before taking a jump into photography I was working as a massage therapist at one of the spa resorts in Wailea. After several years of massage therapy I felt a need for a change and a fresh start. Always being passionate about photography and spending hours at the beach shooting my surf buddies, I decided to start my own business as a freelance photographer.

I truly believe in finding joy in simple things and I bring this into my photography. Photography for me is a way to show the beauty of everyday life and cherishing what is. Through my photographs I want to capture the essence of a person, or a moment, and tell a story.

As an introvert, I deeply value the solitude and introspection that fuels my creativity. I enjoy journaling or reading psychology books in the morning over a cup of coffee, or going to the beach and observing the surroundings.

When I'm not working, you will most likely find me surfing at my favorite surf spot (Ho’okipa beach!). I also love to travel and discover new places, learn about different cultures, as well as simply stay home watching travel documentaries and vlogs. 

In addition to couples and family sessions, I offer microweddings/elopements photography, lifestyle portraits and surf photography.
